Lauren Turley
Secretary, SUPAC
Lauren Turley, has always enjoyed the performing arts. She grew up as a competitive gymnast and dancer, and found the beauty of artistic expression to drive her future direction. Lauren also participated in her school’s orchestral program (as a violinist) and chorus program, for most of her K-12 years. Feeling driven to keep the arts in her life, Lauren went to the University of Hartford and earned a BFA in dance with an emphasis in ballet pedagogy. She then moved to NYC to pursue both a professional dance and teaching career. She was fortunate to work with esteemed professionals and dance organizations, and has always enjoyed sharing her passion for the arts with her students. Lauren values what the arts can offer individuals, not just as performers but in forming identity and developing valuable life skills. These are values Lauren strives to holistically promote in her teaching and arts advocacy.
Lauren has been a part of SUPAC since February 2022, starting off with filling the Interim Secretary position. As of September 2023, she is now Secretary and is happy to continue to support the efforts of SUPAC in providing performing arts advocacy and opportunities to the students and families in our community.
